Crews completed an aerial patrol Sunday to assess the outage affecting customers in the Kitkatla area on remote islands south of Prince Rupert. The damaged power pole is located on a cliff in a difficult-to-access location. We're mobilizing resources and preparing to bring in vegetation crews and power line technicians to begin clearing and assessing the site. Based on current forecasts, we anticipate a weather window on Tuesday that could allow crew to complete repairs if conditions cooperate. Thank you for your patience as we work through these complex challenges to restore power safely. We'll share updates as more information becomes available.

The Village of Zeballos and Ehattesaht First Nation will be without power overnight due to damage to a power line. Poor weather prevented a full helicopter patrol today, and a ground patrol was unable to determine the cause of the outage. If conditions improve tomorrow, a helicopter will patrol the line and transport crews and materials to the damaged section so repairs can begin. We'll share updates as they become available. Crews continue to work on repairs to a damaged power pole that has caused an outage for customers in the Kitkatla area and other damage affecting Oona River residents. Vegetation crews and power line technicians were on site Monday to begin clearing and assessing the area, but challenging weather conditions are making it difficult to safely bring in additional crews and materials. A barge was scheduled to reach the site Monday evening; however, high winds made it unsafe for it to depart. The safety of our crews remains our top priority, and we'll only proceed with work and transportation when conditions allow.
